Lance is a successful author, journalist, and international television producer. He is one of CGM’s media trainers and also works as a publishing consultant for us.

A BBC TV Sport programme editor, producer and documentary maker for over 25 years, Lance has worked at numerous major sporting events around the world, including six World Cups and four Olympic Games.

He edited Match of the Day, Football Focus, Final Score and Late Kick Off for BBC Sport, plus The Cricket Show for Sky Sport in New Zealand, and the Paralympics for Channel 4.

An NCTJ qualified newspaper journalist, Lance is the author of Stokoe, Sunderland and ’73, which was shortlisted for Football Book of the Year at the British Sports Book Awards and nominated for the British Society of Sports History Literary Prize.

9780752883403Lance edited Tales from the Red and Whites, an anthology about Sunderland AFC, and has also co-authored best-selling autobiographies with Bobby George, Kelly Smith and Steve Davis. The latter has recently been nominated for Autobiography of the Year at this year’s British Sports Book Awards.

His BBC One documentary about England women’s World Cup captain Steph Houghton was entered for a Royal Television Society award.
