GOT A GOOD STORY TO TELL?
Then let us tell the world about it
Welcome to CGM Publishing, which offers four essential services:
– CGM Books – Our own publishing imprint. If you have a book you’d like us to publish, contact us online or email us at email@example.com
– Want us to tell your story? Our experienced, professional journalists have extensive book writing expertise having written their own successful books so we can write your book for you. We can design, publish and promote it too.
– Is there a book in it? – Our book writing training courses are designed to provide would-be authors with the information they need to decide whether to write their story including how to organise, write and research a book and how to get it published and marketed. Look out for our forthcoming courses
– Sports author talks – Inspirational talks by Chris, Tom, Stuart and Lance on the joys and perils of writing sports books and how to handle different genres and styles.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Good stories – Well told. Page turning ripping yarns that inspire, reveal and fascinate in equal measure. Although we will consider all types of books we have three main specialist areas:
Sport – We have an interest and background in sport so good sports stories and biographies will always tickle our fancy
Popular culture – Making an impact and changing lives through art and culture
Business inspiration – Britain is fast becoming a nation of entrepreneurs, but doing it on your own doesn’t mean you can’t soak up inspiration and influence from real-life, been there, done it (and maybe still doing it) people. Your book could also be the best extended business card you could ever have.
Our team of experienced authors includes:
Chris Green – an author of several sports books, Chris is writing the first two CGM Books – Rebuilding the Belief, the sequel to Chris’s seminal work on football youth development Every Boy’s Dream and Soul Business, CGM’s ethos for a better way of business life.
Tom Watt – As David Beckham’s biographer, (David Beckham – My Side), Tom is one the UK’s top football authors. His other work include The End, Football Shorts and A Beautiful Game.
Lance Hardy – Lance has written several compelling sports books including Stokoe, Sunderland and ’73, which was nominated for 2010 British Sports Book of the Year, Interesting – My Autobiography (Steve Davis), Kelly Smith Footballer – My Story and Bobby Dazzler – My Story (Bobby George).
Stuart Roy Clarke – If it is visual impact you’re looking for, few photographers have captured a niche in the way that Stuart has with his lens focused firmly on the idiosyncrasies of football culture. His books include The Homes of Football: Where the Heart is, The Cradle of the Game and away from football, Scenes from a British Summer Country Pop Music Festival.
Teresa Green CGM’s editorial partner and experienced writer/sub editor Teresa is in charge of all CGM Publishing content.
